FORCES

About the Project

The FORCES project addresses the urgent need for safer and more secure software in defence systems. By transitioning legacy C/C++ code to the memory-safe Rust programming language, the project ensures enhanced security and performance in robotic systems used in critical missions.

Objectives

• Develop an automated code transpilation tool to convert C/C++ code to Rust.
• Define comprehensive metrics to evaluate correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Validate methodologies through real-world defence scenarios, such as unmanned ground vehicles and robotic arms.
