Pre-built SOUL
For your convenience, we provide a pre-built VirtualBox image that allows you to experiment with SOUL. The image contains:
- Ubuntu Linux 10.10
- an Eclipse installation including the Barista suite (for interacting with SOUL from within Eclipse)
- a Smalltalk image containing SOUL and its libraries Cava and Barista (for reasoning about Java programs)
Instructions
The following four shortcuts will greet you on the Linux desktop:
Shortcuts Barista and Barista without Smalltalk GUI will automatically launch the Eclipse workspace '~/workspaceExamples'. This workspace contains two example Java projects: JHotDraw 5.1 and the motivating example from this website.
The project 'Soul Queries' contains 11 examples of representative SOUL queries. Double clicking them will open a query editor on them.
