I am researcher in the field of Computer Science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
My main research interest is Debugging concurrent systems, in particular, actor-based
applications driven by the event-loops concurrency model.
I also have a more general interest in programming models and tools for parallel and concurrent
systems.
I received my bachelor in Computing Engineering at the University of Holguin, Cuba. During my
bachelor, I researched in the fields of Collaborative Information Retrieval and Search-driven Software Development.
I worked in the development of COSME, a NetBeans plugin for collaborative source code search.
After completing my bachelor, I pursued a master in Computer Science at the Central University of
Las Villas, Cuba. During my master, I researched about Topic Segmentation and Topic Detection in the context of Opinion Mining.
I worked in the design and development of a framework for segmenting and detecting topics in opinions.
At the end of June 2021, I finished my PhD studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel on Advanced
Debugging Techniques to Handle Concurrency Bugs in Actor-based Applications. Download: PDF
